Our phones operate completely independently. They have a 12-hour rechargeable battery and don't require any internet connection or phone line. Just press the power button and you're set.
Placement tips for outdoor events
Shade is your friend. If it's a sunny day, place the phone in a shaded area (under a tent, awning, or tree) to keep it out of direct sunlight for extended periods.
Sturdy surface. Place the phone on a stable table or surface that won't wobble or blow over. A cocktail table or welcome table works great.
Away from speakers. For the best voicemail quality, keep the phone away from the DJ, band, or speaker setup. Background noise can make it harder to hear your guests' messages clearly.
High foot traffic area. Place it somewhere your guests will naturally walk past: near the entrance, by the bar, or along the path from ceremony to reception.
Weather considerations
Our phones are vintage and should be treated with care. If there's any chance of rain, make sure the phone is under cover. If the forecast looks iffy, having a backup indoor spot in mind is always a good idea.
